Water Water Everywhere !!!

So this past week has been very busy. Last Sunday I woke up to Dan yelling "CALL WATER DISASTER" as he runs out the back door. I ran into the kitchen where I saw the BIG problem. The water heater valve broke and was spraying water everywhere. Dan had to crawl under the house to turn off the valve. Thank God he was home. I wouldn't of had a clue. In the meantime I called a 24 hour emergency service and the guy was on his way. We got the water soaked up but alot got under the house. So when the service guy got here they pulled out all the wet installation under the house and put in about 6 fans to help dry it. After we heard all the noise from the fans and realized we had NO running water we decided to stay at a hotel. So off for a mini vacation !!!!! We went to The Nugget since the pool is awesome. The girls had lots of fun. And they enjoyed room service. We stayed there another night and then decided a hotel was nice but we needed a kitchen to cook decent food for the girls. So we ended up staying at The Marriott. Our insurance company booked and payed for it along with reimbursing us from The Nugget. We also got money to make all the repairs. So finally the following Sunday we were able to move back in. Thanks Goodness ! Home Sweet Home. As far as the water heater we ended up getting a tankless one. I guess it only heats when you need it but can run 2 showers or appliances without getting cold...EVER !!! Pretty cool.

Snow Day March 9, 2009

So we woke up this morning to a thick layer of unexpected snow. There was no prediction of this happening but very nice. We could use all these snow we can get. So we got ready to take the girls outside to play. They had so much fun.
They made SNOW ANGELS.
,ate the snow and helped sweep the patio. After about 45 minutes they were ready to come inside for some hot apple cider.

Pretty Easy Going Days...

So this past couple months has been pretty easy going. I am working in the O.R in the evenings still and loving the daytime with the girls and Dan. We've gone to the park on warmer days and found lots of fun places to take them indoors for the colder days.
Taylor loves Tinkerbell and loves to dress up. This is what she came out of her room looking like. She did pretty good !!


Valentines Day we headed over to my parents and had dinner and lots of fun. The girls got goody bags from Grandma and Papa and a new outfit. They love to play ring a round the rosy and dance.

Happy New Year !

So 2008 was a great year. Some months were better than others. Here's a small recap. January- Emilie started preschool. We are living in Idaho. February- Got to come down to Reno to visit our newest family member...Joshua Wilde. March- Missing Reno and family and friends. April- Jaymie got a job back in Reno and moved down to start ASAP. I also got to surprise Loie and Jenn for Loies 1st birthday. May- Dan and the girls packed up to get back to Reno and into our house. June- Spent a weekend in Lake Tahoe with my parents. July- Went to Lake Tahoe for 4th of July. Lots of fun !! Dan ruptured his achilles tendon and had to have surgery. August- just hanging out and working. Dan is still in a cast :( September- Went to Sacramento for Meelahs birth ! Emilie started ballet. October- Celebrated Taylors 2nd birthday and a fun Halloween !! Dan also celebrated his 32nd birthday !November- Emilie got her ears pierced. She was so brave ! December- Dan through a party for my 30th birthday ! Emilie turned 4 ! Jenn and her family came to visit us for a week ! I know I missed alot of stuff but hope you got caught up on us !! I hope 2009 brings joy and happiness to everyone !

Christmas in the E.R.

So anyways, this Christmas was not what I expected. I ended up in the E.R. for the day. It started out on Tues 12/23. I have had alot of headaches the past week and so while at work I decided to take my blood pressure per my moms advice. I did and it was really high. People at work thought I should go to the E.R. so I did. They did a CAT scan and spinal tap and eveything came out good. The Dr. thought the headaches were stress related which then gave me high blood pressure. So I got to go home that night. On Wed. I woke up from an afternoon nap with my head pounding when I sat up. That continued through Christmas morning. I decided to go back to the E.R where they diagonsed me with a spinal headache. They ran a caffeine drip and gave me pain meds. That didn't help so they did a blood patch on the hole in my back from the spinal tap. That worked almost immediately. I then got to go home a couple hours later. So needless to says Christmas kind of sucked. The girls opened their presents and had fun playing but I couldn't play with them. I am feeling better now and hopefully stop stressing out. It seems life has so many stresses, but I need to focus on the people and things that give me joy !! Merry Christmas

New to blogging !

Well, I am new to this blogging thing but I figured I would try it out. I know I love looking at what family and friends are up to. Especially when we don't see everyone very often. Our girls are growing up so fast I love letting people know what and how they are doing.

So, I will get you up to speed. I am working at Saint Marys here in Reno as a Surgical Tech full time in the evenings. While Dan is staying at home with the girls. He is such a good daddy and they love being with him and I know they're in good hands ! Going back to work full time was a hard decision but being here in Reno with my parents and friends and being happy outweighed living in Idaho. Which we lived for 6 months last Oct-Apr. Growing up in San Diego and then living there didn't work out for us :) So anyways, Emilie just turned 4 and Taylor is 2. Both of them are growing up so fast. Both the girls love anything Princess or Barbie. They love dressing up and playing with their babies. Emilie is taking ballet classes once a week. And Taylor would if she was older. We are very active in a mommy playgroup. That's where I have met a couple of my closest friends. Emilie has a few best friends as well. So here are a few up to date pics and I hope I can keep up with this blogging thing !! Enjoy !!!

Emilie just had her 4th birthday !! We went to Boomtown and had a blast ! Jenn and her family came over from Sacramento and Brandon and his family. My parents also came to celebrate along with some of our friends !



Taylor turned 2 in October and had her birthday at Chuck E Cheese ! We had lots of fun. Jen came with Loie and Meelah, my parents and a few friends. Taylor loves Chuckie.
